First off, I wanted to give a shout out to all my fellow Buckeyes haters!.....

Woohoo!  LSU Tigers baby!  I guess that old saying is true.  Buckeyes do fall year round.

Due to the fact that I may have to go to work here in a little bit, and am not sure if I will have enough time to finish what's on my mind.... until next time.

This post is dedicated to pictures from this past summer.....

First off, my brother Reggie and his wife, Kayleen, and their little boy Zeke visited for a little over a month.  It was so awesome to have them here for that long.  The very first day they were here, I walked upstairs and when my little nephew saw me he started bawling uncontrollably.  It was like that pretty much the rest of their stay.  Then, possibly the best part of their visit,.... the day before they left, I came home from work and my mom was holding Zeke.  I thought I'd at least try to see if he would come to me, so I held out my arms and to my surprise and great joy he sprouted a smile and practically jumped into my arms.  I miss you guys.

It has definitely been a long time since the last post.  I'm not much for posting every week or two.  I was kind of hoping on waiting until the summer activities, which have started to run into fall, start to die down to do a bunch of posts.  Lots of pictures will be coming.

I spent this past weekend at Rosedale Bible College visiting my cousin Wally (Nathan).  It was definitely a good time.  Just a little something different than the norm.  Sunday we went to Mechanicsburg Christian Fellowship and were priviledged to partake in communion with them.  I was reminded of how much the decisions we deem small can lead us to making decisions that are much bigger and have a more lasting affect on our lives.  A few people performed a skit that portrayed Jesus breathing life into a girl.  They were having a great time together and along came a young man offering the girl his love.  She pushed Jesus aside and took it.  Then, a wealthy man came along and she pushed Jesus even further away and embraced the wealth, even though the greedy man took it from her.  Others offered her things and she took always pushing Jesus further and further away.  The last was what I assumed to be a demon, and he offered her a knife.  She took it and slit her wrists but, it didn't do the job.  He then placed a loaded gun in front of her.  Weaping, she too it and raised it to her head.  All of a sudden it was like she remembered who had given her life, and the very air that she breathed.  She jumped up, looked and found Jesus standing at the back of a long line of people, because she kept shoving Him away, and ran toward Him.  What ensued was a struggle of her trying  to reach Jesus and all of the people she placed before Him.  Finally, after being thrown to the ground Jesus thrust the crowd of people away and breathed life into her again.

I guess you would have had to have been there, but it struck me hard and right to the core of my heart.  In a nutshell that has been my summer.  I've pushed God further and further away for MY activities and MY wants.  A couple weeks ago my attitude began to get really bad.  Everything annoyed me, and that's no understatement.  Then, anger set in.  I don't remember the last time I've been so angry.  Then, somehow in some way, like has happened many times before, God caught my attention, and I saw my faults, and how ugly I looked at that very moment.  THANK YOU FOR RESCUING ME ONCE AGAIN FATHER!

I'm so tired of greed!  In my life!  In this community!  It's everywhere.  If we're not out and about spending money we're boring.  My memory takes me back to Albuquerque, New Mexico.  To a time when I grew the most in my walk with God.  I would even go so far as to say that greed was not present there.  At least not like here.  Hanging out with friends at each others houses' just talking and playing games, maybe even getting a couple guitars and a piano and singing.  Here social life means that you have to go out to eat and then maybe watch a movie.  Where's the encouragement?  Where's the family atmosphere with friends?  Are we afraid to get into deep conversations about God because we meet hear God calling us elsewhere?

So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things.  See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire!

James 3:5

Possibly more ramblings later....

This picture is especially for Ashadee as she got on my case to update....

Yeah,we're all counselors.  None of us are campers.

Anthony and Jared with some campers (Colby, Eric, Matthew, Leighton, and Derek).

Ryan (aka squirrel), Landon, and Aaron in our flight activity......Of course we didn't have an activity like that.

Future campers of Prairie Camp.  Anita and Kris, please don't kill me for putting these on.

The ever-growing frisbee golf class.  We had twelve portable baskets.  And, it was a lot of fun!

What do you mean this picture is staged.  Of course Danny throws like that.  Even with his eyes closed.

Table games.  I wish we would have had table games when I was at camp.

My niece Natasha in a craft activity.  Notice the reflection in the mirror.  Now that's awesome photography!

Alan in woodworking.  They made microwave popcorn baskets.  It was pretty cool.

"The Hayride".  Just remember guys "wait 'till you're 30!"

Just showing a 'lil love at one of the chapel services.

Briana (my other niece), if you see this you probably won't be to happy with me.  I knew thought that at that moment you felt God's calling in your life and I just want to encourage you.  I also like this picture because I think it truly portrays how much the counselors cared about all of he campers.

Us guy counselors put together a couple skit slash songs of memories of our shower time.

"The Counselor Song".  Nuff said.

My rec. team minus Staci, who had to leave a little early.  I had a blast with you guys!

Devon McDonald signing my NOTRE DAME shirt.  He played for the '88 National Chamion Irish!

This is Frank.  I won't say anything about this 'cause I think I talked a little bout him in an earlier post.

Our speaker Loren "Digger" Graber

The first day of camp, Sunday, before any of the campers had arrived, Jared was stung by two wasps.  It was somewhat humorous.

This picture is a tribute to the tennis activity which Wendell and I had a priviledge of being a part of.

Well, th-th-th-that's all folks.
